The past year has been filled with the usual comings and goings of family as well as exciting extras including a spring break trip to New York City with the two youngest, the birth of two grandchildren and an engagement. We enjoyed sports teams and dance recitals, trips to Utah, our first summer Geddes family reunion and a mountain Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Christmas brought the passing of Doug's mother Colleen which, of course, saddened us but brought the blessing of an eternal perspective that may not have occurred naturally in the usual hustle and bustle of the holiday. We were all blessed with a renewed focus on family and what is most important as well as a sweet spirit that reminded of the true meaning of Christmas.
As for the kids, Kirk, Chris, Ryan and Jason are busy with careers and their beautiful families. They have blessed us with 5 adorable grandchildren with one more on the way, due to Ryan and Nancy, this coming June. Bryce received his associates from Utah State University, is engaged to an adorable girl and is working full-time while submitting applications for continued education to varies universities for fall semester 2013. Kelsey is a successful college junior at Utah State University studying Family, Consumer and Human Development with an emphasis in Crisis. She's happy in Logan and is spending a lot of time with a cute young man from North Ogden, Utah. We anticipate more exciting events soon to come in 2013. Kyle (11) and Hailey (5) provide stability to the household with the normal activities of the middle school and elementary age. We enjoy the structure but I often wonder if there will ever be a time when homework, lessons and sports practices are not the daily norm!
If you'd like to scroll down you can see our postings from the fun and events of our 2012. And, over to the left are links to the older kid's own blogs. We hope you've been immersed in the happiness and excitement of the Christmas Season and beginning of a New Year. May your homes be filled with joy and the blessing of family, growth, health and happiness all year long!
With love to you all,
Paige and Doug
and the Waldron Family
